Day 2 of our Online Training Design Workshop focused on refining training programs through structured design. Participants learned to develop compelling course rationales using the SCQA framework, to align with their business needs.
They also explored Kirkpatrick’s Four Levels of Evaluation, gaining practical insights into measuring training effectiveness through both formative and summative assessments. The session covered key elements of training design, including content curation and prioritization (Vital, Important, Nice-to-Know), and different ways to structure learning, such as task-, topic-, and problem-centered approaches.
Additionally, participants recognized the impact of both Inductive (4As: Activity, Analysis, Abstraction, Application) and Deductive (4Ps: Preparation, Presentation, Practice, Performance) learning approaches to better engage your learners.
By the end of the session, they recognized the importance of systematic training design, appreciated the role of evaluation methods, and acknowledged the challenges of structuring content effectively. With these insights, they are now better equipped to create impactful and results-driven training programs.
