Stress Management Training by April Salonga

Changing economic times have us pulled in multiple directions. The pressures and demands between work and personal life are blurred. People react differently to living in this pressure cooker. Some become aggressive while others become passive or just shut down altogether. As a result, the consequences of stress in the workplace come from what is happening to each of us both on and off the job.

Resilience is the positive adaptation by individuals, despite their experiences of significant stress, change or adversity. Emotional resilience isn’t about toughing it and ignoring feelings. It’s about knowing yourself, your stressors, and when to reach out to others.

In this 8-hour “Effective Stress Management Workshop”, participants will be provided with the ability to identify characteristics of resilient people, as well as practical tools and techniques you can implement to help you take control, increase your resilience and minimize stress.

Workshop Objectives

By the end of the program delegates will be able to:

  • To understand positive stress
  • To identify symptoms of burnout and overload
  • To identify the sources of stress in your work life
  • To change behaviors that add to stress
  • To make changes to situations that can be influenced
  • To develop strategies to prevent feeling overwhelmed
